About August 26th, 2015

I was supposed to post this on the 26 th (last week Friday) but I couldn’t as a result of jhgjkrhlfjkhgjkfh so please bear with me. We did this last year and we’re doing it again today, click here to read about August 26, 2014. Join me as we walk down the road leading to August 26, 2015. It's another 26th August, a day like no other. I can't write about the events that will take place today because I don't know them yet (I'm not a seer) so we'd hear about last year instead. Last year's birthday celebration had no physical celebration and I'd tell you why. I was in the middle of a job application at the time with a telecommunication organisation which I currently work with. One day, I got an email saying I had successfully passed the fourth stage of the recruitment process hence I was moving to the fifth stage which was ‘medicals’. It just happened that the day for the medicals was the same day as my birthday and I was all jgfjhghfshd. I didn’t h

The Experiment by Ayokunle

We've been talking about augmented reality and augmented sensations for a while now, and how it would translate to our sex life, but that's all it’s been, talk, until now... I was introduced to a weed guy and I bought a butt load of weed, hash brownies and space cake in a bid to surprise you, and finally tick this topic off the bucket list. I walk in with a massive grin on my face, you already know that I have something mischievous planned, but you can't help but get excited! I present the goodies, informing you that we're going on a journey without leaving our domicile, to which you instantly get up to procure a bottle of well aged wine and two glasses. Like a perfectly oiled machine, we go about setting up the scene, I arrange the opulent spread and make sure we have a quick exit to the bedroom, you bring out the candles and a lighter, I ask what you would like to have on the TV, you replied saying anything would be fine. On the TV Drake singing "controll

...And She Had To Die

This is really sad and it’s not just sad because someone decided to take her own life, what makes it sad is the reason behind it. There’s no justification for taking your own life, I wrote about this extensively in an article titled suicide a while back but I’d write some more here, people commit suicide for a lot of reasons ranging from debt to depression and a million other reasons that make people almost pity them and understand why they did it. You’re still going to die anyway so why die now? I mean, even if you want to die now, must you do it yourself? Life is not a bed of roses, we all know that but the challenges we face in life should motivate us to work hard towards achieving the kind of life we desire. That’s for those who feel like ending their lives out of frustration from too many things going wrong in their live unlike the person who inspired this write up. I could say rest in peace but that’s up to God to make that happen. The lady (less than 23 years old) who inspired t

Guy Ends Relationship Because Bae Burnt Rice

I don’t even know whether to be surprised or not, this story is sad and funny at the same time. It’s sad to know that someone can throw away a relationship for the funniest reasons but the relationship didn’t worth the stress apparently. I saw this story on a BBM channel I’m subscribed to and I just couldn’t keep it to myself hence the need to share. The story was on gbeborunofafrica.com written by Glowville (to avoid plagiarism). Funny title yea, but this is a real story. People break up for reasons more ridiculous than this and our story today aims to reiterate to every lover that when the relationship is not making you happy, you have to leave! Refusal to leave when you should might turn back to bite and make you a victim. Tinu’s boyfriend broke up with her because she burnt his food when it should have been Tinu breaking up with him. Enjoy the story below. ***************** The choking smell from the kitchen seeped into my dreams and knocked me back to life with a thud. I j

Sister Ifeoma And I; The Testimony Of An Ex

I saw this guy’s testimony on naira-land and I found it very funny so I decided to share, read below; The part that got me was where she asked for forgiveness after hugging him for 27 seconds. Now that you’ve read it, what do you think? ******************************************* Who wants to see my birthday wishlist? I decided to share this too as I don’t know where my helper will come from *puppy eyes* Birthday Wishlist; Jalamia/Jalabia - 1 piece, any color except ROYGBIV One fringe wig from Labake - 8k One plain black crop top (no inscriptions please) An autograph from Sam Smith on my childhood diary (I wish ba?) 3 flat shoes, size 39 (yellow, blue and green) A notepad (something girly) Cash gift (from 2k upwards) Prayers (this is a must) Any other thing from your heart but if you can stick to the list, that'd be great. My birthday isn't till 26th of august so you have time to prepare towards it. Thank you in advance. I love you.

Goodbye

It’s another beautiful day today, a beautiful day that a lot would not see, a beautiful day that a lot would not wake to. You might not think it’s a beautiful day and that’s because you are alive enough to think. You are alive enough to see this day, the day you probably don’t like, the day you probably wish could end right now though it just started. I know it sounds cliché but ‘when there is life, there is hope’. You might have read something like this a million times but it’s the truth. I promised myself I wasn't going to write any more death posts after Madam Esther Tchockateu's (I never get the spelling correctly) death, she was my school's vice chancellor and she really liked me. She was very considerate, nice and generous though tough. She had a kind heart but she had to die. When I heard about Juwon's death today, I couldn't believe it, she seemed so sweet, we never had a personal conversation but I liked her from a distance. She was so strong, I could al

Wife Or Knife?

This is another naira-land inspired post and it’s quite long so I’m not going to bother us with any introduction, kindly read and share your opinion. “NOTICE: Please, my story is still very long despite that I tried very hard to remove some unnecessary portions. But if you can be patient to read it to the end, then you are ready to give a mature opinion. I am a Yoruba guy married to another Yoruba lady who happened to be the last of seven children. We met at the University and had a long courtship before we got married in 2014. I loved her so much and I believe she loved me too. We were each other's best friends. Shortly before we began to plan the wedding, on one faithful afternoon, I was watching the TV in my living room when I began to feel a slight pain in my lower abdomen. It got more intense within few hours and I had to go to a nearby hospital and by that time, the pain was inside my scrotum. The young doctor there didn't understand what was wrong and starte
